What's New in 2023

For the 2023 model year, several big changes are coming to the ID.4. All models now come standard with the larger 12.0-inch infotainment display. A new entry-level trim called the Standard joins the lineup, offering a lower base price and a smaller 58-kWh battery pack. Also new is the Pro S Plus trim, which adds luxury features such as heated rear seats, a three-zone automatic climate control system, 20-inch wheels, and a premium stereo.

In addition, Volkswagen has also added several minor design enhancements, such as a gloss black exterior trim, updated wheel designs, and several new paint colors. The center console has also been given a slight redesign, the interior upholstery options have been refreshed, and the Pro S models receive illuminated Volkswagen logos on the front and back.

Trims

There are four distinct trims for the Volkswagen ID.4.

  • Standard
  • Pro
  • Pro S
  • Pro S Plus

Performance

Most ID.4 models are powered by an 82-kWh battery pack and are available with rear- or all-wheel drive. The new Standard trim, however, comes with a 60-kWh battery and is only available with rear-wheel drive. Lewiston drivers who opt for the rear-wheel drive models will receive one electric motor, which outputs 201 horsepower and 208 miles of range. While customers who purchase all-wheel drive models will see one motor running the front wheels and another running the rear, and this combination will allow the ID.4 to produce 295 horsepower and 275 miles of range.

Technology

When sitting inside the cabin, Brunswick residents can find a new 12.0-inch infotainment touchscreen that runs many of the ID.4's features. The infotainment comes standard with a navigation system and wireless versions of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, all ID.4 models also come with a 5.3-inch reconfigurable digital gauge display and voice-recognition capability.

Safety

The new Volkswagen ID.4 offers a host of standard and optional driver-assistance technology. When cruising to work or running errands around the Portland area, the new ID.4 will ensure your safety with features including automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. Additional safety features include parking sensors, an automated parking system, and a 360-degree camera system.
